International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s TechEmerge Program

Tabreed in India has partnered with International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s award winning TechEmerge Program, under the Cooling Innovation Lab (CIL) Initiative, with the aim of accelerating the adoption of sustainable cooling solutions and business models in India and South East Asia.

The partnership aims to demonstrate that cooling can be achieved more efficiently, effectively and economically, through the introduction and ultimate adoption of state-of-the-art technologies and innovative business models that reduce energy consumption and generate climate benefits.  The CIL program follows a structured approach where technology companies/innovators, users and buyers/adopters are brought together. The process entails assessments of adopters’ needs, global sourcing of innovators, competitive selection of technologies, and virtual matchmaking to test innovative cooling technologies through pilot projects. Scaling up of solutions that are found to be techno-commercially feasible through CIL supported pilots, is the intended outcome of this project.

For details of projects under CIL please see the projects page here. If you are a technology or solution provider that falls under the ambit of this program and are interested to engage with us, please send us an e-mail us at hita@tabreed.in
