Under the Cooling Innovation Lab set up by Tabreed and its partners in India, Tabreed is working with innovator HTMS-Maxwell to carry out technical due diligence of Maxwell fluid to decide if the technology can be scaled up to other Tabreed plants.
The pilot project has now been completed. The ‘C-COP’ (Chiller) improvement of 13.6% is in line with the statement that Maxwell improves the thermal efficiency of the heat transfer fluid by up to 15%. The ‘S-COP’ (Plant/System) improvement of 9% is broadly equivalent to reduced plant energy cost and carbon footprint.
